I’m a NJ-based filmmaker working in film and video production since 2008. I studied at the International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT) in Cebu, Philippines and I have been shooting and editing ever since, although the experience I’ve gained since then proved far more invaluable than the more “traditional” education I received. Towards the end of 2014, I focused more on working as a camera assistant and media manager on feature films and commercials.
I enjoy working on set and the constant business of being a camera assistant. However, the reason I got into any of this in the first place was to direct music videos and commercials, and it’s still something I’m constantly learning in and practicing. A few of biggest influences and inspirations are Michel Gondry, Spike Jonze, Daniels, and Sesame Street (no one can tell me how to get there). I’m always discovering new ways to bring my imagination and stories to life on screen.
When I’m not getting paid to sprint around laying 300-ft SDI runs through dusty, dilapidated mental asylums for a multi-cam feature in the middle of a heat wave, or in tamer, office environments shooting coffee videos, I’ll usually have some way or another to capture life on camera. When I’m not working, I love traveling (although it’s a particularly enjoyable experience when it’s part of a job), and eating (also when it’s part of a job).
